HOW TO GET READY FOR 2017
Two thousand seventeen is upon us! For us, that means it’s time to set our goals for the New Year. Goal setting is one of the things that we consistently do with our team at the SV HQ. We set yearly goals, quarterly goals, and we even jot down daily goals in the form of To-Dos (if you manage a business or team, ASANA is an amazing, free task management tool- check it out). We feel strongly that people and teams that are goal-oriented are much more successful than those that aren’t! At this point, setting and reviewing our goals is just a natural process! It’s a way of strategically navigating our crazy day-to-day lives that come with operating a high growth business. People always ask how we manage it all, and the truth is that we set goals in every area of the business, assign someone who is supremely responsible for that goal based on their role, and then keep those strategic priorities in mind in everything we do. It isn’t easy, but it really does help you prioritize your time and resources!
Around this time, New Year’s Resolutions are a big thing….and while we love the concept of the new year’s resolutions, practically, they never seem to stick around for more than a month or two. Goals, however, aren’t bound to the New Year. They can be short term (a month or two) or longer term (three to five years). We are challenging you all with setting your own goals for 2017 and beyond. After all, we want you to be the best you can be! To help you out, we put together this super easy template so you can start writing away! Here is how we suggest you use the template, along with some tips for goal setting:
Resources: Very few goals are attainable without money, time, or someone else’s assistance. In this column, think through what you need to make your goal a reality. This will help you set realistic goals
Date to Complete: Write down when you want to complete each goal
Check Mark: This is the best part- place a check mark next to the goal when it is complete
Lots of Love + Success,
Ashley + Paige
